Licensing:  
Caywood’s Youth Center’s are licensed and inspected annually by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, as child care centers, serving children 6/8 weeks to 12 years of age. Annual inspections also conducted by the State Fire Marshall's Office and County Health Department. Monthly inspections conducted by a certified Nurse because we have infants & toddlers.


History:

Ron & Pat Caywood had built & opened CYC Waterloo in January 1994.  The Caywoods opened CYC Red Bud in 1997, and sold it in 2004.  They purchased CYC Quincy in June 2004.  Prior to Child Care Centers, Ron was a YMCA Director for 21 years (Louisiana twice, Illinois twice, Indiana, Florida & South Carolina), and Pat served as Fitness Director and Child Care Director in the YMCA for 10 years.

The Caywood's were Waterloo High School Graduates in 1969(Ron) and 1971(Pat).  Ron attended Colleges in Oklahoma, Illinois & Louisiana, with a bachelors from Baptist Christian College(Louisiana) in 1974.

CYC employs approximately 44 staff members. Positions include Early Childhood Teachers, EC-Assistants, School Age Teachers, SA-Assistants, Cook, Janitorial, Van Drivers.
