Owners Prior to 1994, Ron Caywood worked in the YMCA for 22 years, serving 16 years as Executive Director in Y's in Effingham and Mt. Vernon, IL; LaPorte, IN; Titusville, FL; Shreveport, LA; and Myrtle Beach, SC, and as Sr. Program Director in Shreveport, LA  for 6 years.  Attained the level of Senior Director. Job responsibilities included all facets of fiscal management, short/long range planning, capital development, professional and program staff supervision, program development, facilities management. President of the Association of Professional Directors in the State of Florida 1991 to 1992, and National APD Board Member. Graduated from Waterloo, IL High School in 1969. Graduated from Baptist Christian College (Shreveport, LA) in 1975, attending on an athletic scholarship. Also attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Bossier Parrish Community College in Louisiana, and Belleville Area College in Illinois. Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball Coach, Waterloo High School, 1997-99. Currently supervises the CYC Quincy  operations.   In addition to running a household, Pat Caywood worked as Child Care Director of the Titusville, FL YMCA for 4 years (120 school age children); responsible for daily planning, field trips, budget administration and staff supervision. Fitness Director, Broadmoor, LA YMCA for 3 years; Fitness Director, LaPorte, IN YMCA for 3 years. Responsible for staff supervision, program planning and budget administration. Assistant Manager and Manager of Sports World sporting goods store (LA) for 4 years, responsible for staff supervision, equipment purchasing and overall store operations. Graduated from Waterloo, IL High School in 1971. Currently supervises the CYC Waterloo operations.   The Caywood's have 4 children: Karie Kapise, a Major in the USAF; Shelley Kaminski, former Director, now stay-at-home mom; Ryan, who captains sailing boats in Newport, RI; and Jennifer, who is in Germany working on a US Military base, and as a Fitness Trainer. Caywood's have 2 granddaughters, Kennady (Ron & Karie), born 12-19-08 and Leila (Pete & Shelley), born 5-11-09.   The Caywood's live in Waterloo, Illinois.
