Our Program

Ages:

Caywood's Youth Center admits students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin.

We enroll children in the Waterloo Center from 8 weeks thru 12 years of age. In the Quincy Center, we enroll children from 6 weeks thru 12 years of age.

Class Rooms

Class Rooms are determined by age grouping, i.e. we have 2 infant rooms or a total enrollment capacity of 20, thus younger infants are grouped in 1 class and the older infants are in the other class room when total capacity is reached, and so on for the other various ages.

 

Parents are welcome to visit CYC anytime, any day, unannounced; however if you go into your child's classroom after the initial drop-off, and depending upon the age of the child, you may be asked to take your child with you when you leave.  If you wish to observe your child, you are welcome to watch via the room monitors in the main office.

 

Daily Class Planning

Every day there is a particular class plan that the Teacher follows. This may tie into a monthly theme or be a special activity as planned by the class. A typical day begins with the Pledge of Allegiance, breakfast, A.M. snack, bathroom/clean up, group or individual play time (indoor or outdoor), project time, pre planned lessons, lunch, nap, P.M snack, bathroom/cleanup, etc. until child is picked up in the afternoon.
